3/4 ouncelemon juice(Freshly squeezed.)
1/2 ouncesimple syrup(For sweetness.)
1/2 ounceegg white(Optional for texture.)
3–4 dropsAngostura bitters(For garnish.)

Prepare the Ingredients
Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white, if using, to a shaker.

Dry Shake
Dry-shake for 30 seconds without ice.

Shake with Ice
Add ice and shake again for 15–20 seconds, until well-chilled.

Serve
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, or into a coupe without ice. Garnish with 3–4 drops of Angostura bitters.
